I know it's still 10 months away for our wedding day, but I want to start early by sharing our special moment of preparing wedding stuffs from finding a venue, a wedding gown, ideas and themes/colors on decoration, souvenirs, food, invitation cards and many more.
The wedding venue is set at Grand Hyatt, Jakarta. We are fortunate that we've booked the hotel to accommodate our wedding banquet early in September 08, otherwise it will be difficult to find one that suits our taste because many nice and popular hotels will then be booked by others. Many say that December is the most popular month for wedding. I guess it's true as I know 2 other couples who will be getting married in Dec as of today.
After my Beijing trip last December, I went to Jakarta for a week. I decided to use my limited and precious time to get an idea of wedding held in Jakarta. Luckily, my mom had a wedding invitation at Grand Hyatt on my arrival day that night. So we went to the wedding reception and I was amazed with the decoration. I also had a chance to taste the food so that I'll have a better idea of what food to be ordered for my wedding.
During that one week, I also went to some wedding gown boutiques and try on wedding dresses. Per my friend's recommendation, I finally settled on a classic wedding gown at The Silk. Down payment has been paid, but, Richard has not yet seen it, so I am not sure if that would be the final gown. I am still able to change the wedding gown if it happens that Richard does not like it.
King/Lifestyle Photo will be our photographer and videographer. In March, we will take pre-wedding pictures both indoor and outdoor. The location for outdoor pictures is not finalized yet. We are still confused of what kind of outdoor that we prefer.
That's it for now. I will go to Jakarta in 2 weeks and Richard in 3 weeks and we will be busy meeting with vendors, finalizing on stuffs, taking pre-wed pictures and so on.
