Prewedding at SF

Last Saturday, we did our pre-wed pictures here in SF. Our two dear friends, San2 and Aldo were kind enough to take our pics for free :P

There are a lot of good spots to take around SF, but of course, we don't have time to take pictures in all places. So we basically filtered to 5 spots: Pier 39, Palace of Fine Arts, Ocean Beach, Baker Beach and Pier 7.

My make up artists were my darling sister and the super talented photographer, San2. She can do both photography and make up and hairdo!! Amazing :) We headed to SF from around 10:30AM and went back home until 12AM the next day. Yes, for 12 hours!! But there was so many breaks and eating in between. HAHA..

We were very lucky that the weather was so perfect, well too hot and sunny at noon, but at least it was sunny and the sky is clear blue. hehe.. I was happy that the golden gate bridge could be seen clearly during the shot at baker beach. I can't wait to see the pics. :) I'll definitely post the pics here or in our wedding website!

Check it out here for our pre-wed pictures by San2.

Marks of the True Christian

9Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. 10Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. 11Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. 13Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. 18If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. 19Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." 20To the contrary, "if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head." 21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Making it a Habit

When I was in Beijing, I commit myself to read the whole bible for the one full year. I managed to read the Gospel all the way (Matthew to John). Everyday, I never fail to read the Bible and eventually it becomes a habit. I thought to myself that once I read it daily for a week, it is so easy to make it a habit.

But as I came back to US, it seems that my school work and other activities "hinder" me from reading the Bible.. well, I guess I become lazier and uncommitted. And so, I started from reading it daily, to once a week, once a month and finally did not read it at all :(

Last week, I commit myself again to read it again. I have been far away from God and I need to build that relationship with God back. So I started to read the book of Romans. Today I read Rom 3-5 and was reminded again:

6You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy.

Final Exam

I can't wait for next week... Thursday to be exact because I will be done with my final.. yayyy
It means that I am done with half of my master's program!
My fiance is done with his final so it's good that finally he has some break to enjoy and relax.
We are working on our wedding website. Hopefully it will be done and go live by August!

I just realize that this year many of my friends are getting married... This year, if I count correctly, there are seven couples who have or will tie their knots this year. Awesome!!!
